One Less Nuclear Power Plant through Participatory Governance in Seoul

In 2012, Seoul introduced its One Less Nuclear Power Plant project. The project was intended to reduce two million tonne of oil equivalent (TOE) of energy by 2014--a target equal to the production capacity of one nuclear power plant. The One Less Nuclear Power Plant is now part of a larger effort to work with civil society and city residents to bring more renewable energy and other livelihood benefits to Seoul.
